Handspun Jacob V-Shawl 1425
Handspun Jacob V-Shawl 1425
A v-shaped shawl is just what you need to ward off the chill. The unique “v” shape makes sure that your back is always covered and that the shawl stays in place on your shoulders where it belongs. In addition the v-shape creates a intriguing design where the colors intersect.
Jacob sheep are white with black or gray spots so when handspinning you get an array of naturally colored yarn. In this shawl I arranged the warp yarn in light to dark order. I used my mill spun Jacob yarn for the weft in the front, weaving one half with white and one with gray.
