Ram lambs may be registered with JSBA at 6 months. That gives time to evaluate horn growth but we can make an educated recommendation before then. There is a lot to get right with Jacob rams—we want four differentiated, symmetrical horns or two widely spreading horns and color between 15-85%. In addition I want to keep a ram with nice wool, good facial markings, and no freckling. We do not have personality problems with our rams because we DO NOT MAKE THEM PETS. We halter break rams we are keeping, but other than that they get no handling and no treats. We recommend that strategy no matter how cute your ram lamb is or how friendly he seems.
Ram lambs are $300. AVAILABILITY AND PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE (UP OR DOWN) AS SHEEP GROW AND THEY ARE EVALUATED.

We have selected our sheep for their wool quality and compliance to Jacob Sheep Breeders Association (JSBA) breed standard. Read about Jacob Sheep here and about our flock here. Lamb listings: "RESERVED": someone has paid a deposit for that sheep. "PENDING": someone has expressed interest but it may become available. Ram lambs cannot be evaluated properly for compliance with JSBA standards on horn growth at two months old. We recommend final decisions about rams to be made around four months of age. X indicates that I regard this lamb as a cull and he won’t be registered.
How to Purchase
Contact Robin to reserve a lamb or to make an appointment to come to the farm to see the sheep.
Sheep may be reserved with a 25% deposit starting in mid-May after I have had time to evaluate each one. In the meantime contact me to put your name on that sheep.
Sheep must be paid for with cash or check.
Lambs may be weaned at 2-3 months and must be picked up within 3 weeks of purchase date or weaning (whichever is later) or a monthly charge of $25 will be assessed.
Availability and prices of non-reserved lambs are subject to change as they grow and are evaluated.
