Meet the sheep that provide the fiber we all love. There are over 60 lambs to visit. Goat kids, too!

We always plan on a day of sun* and spring flowers. Bring your lunch and a project and spend the day with us and our 4-legged fiber friends.

*Rain or shine! In the event of rain there will be plenty of space for spinning and visiting with animals in the barn. The shop will also be open.

*CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

ONE-POT RAINBOW DYING You will learn to dye a beautiful rainbow of colors all in one pot. Bring up to one pound of clean yarn or fiber or buy some here.

CARDING 101 You bought the fleece. You washed it. Now what? This class will address the basics of carding. You will learn to use handcards and a drum carder for fiber preparation and color blending. Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own WASHED fiber.

SPINNING IN COLOR What do I do with handpainted sliver (roving)? How do I spin dyed fiber (or multi-natural-colored fiber) to highlight the color variety? You will learn a variety of techniques, including Navajo 3-ply, to address these questions.

NEEDLE FELTING FOR EMBELLISHMENT Learn to add a fiber embellishment to your wool creation without sewing. Learn the basics of needle felting by actually creating a sample that you will take home. All materials provided. Class fee included needles to take home.
