Fleeces available for sale following judging.

Entries due: April 16, 2004
Entry fee: $2.00 per entry per class
Limit: Two fleeces per exhibitor per class
Fleeces due: Shipped fleeces should arrive no later than 5 p.m.,          Wednesday, May 5. Hand delivered fleeces will be accepted until 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 7 at the Shear Delight barn.

Division 190 Market Wool: white wool from grade, commercial or purebred sheep of all breeds
Division 191 Natural Colored Wool: from grade, commercial, or purebred sheep of all breeds.
  Class -- per each division
1. Fine 64's or finer (17-22 microns)
2. 1/2 blood, 60-62's (22.05-24.94 microns)
3. 3/8 blood, 56-58's (24.95-27.84 microns)
4. 1/4 blood, 50-54's (27.85-31 microns)
5. Low 1/4 blood to braid, 36-48's (31.01-over 40.2 microns)
6. Double coated

Rules
1. Only completed fleeces in the grease are eligible for competition
2. Fleeces shall not be more than 12 months growth. The definition o f "12 months" shall be the definition accepted by the wool trade. Thus if a fleece is actually slightly more than 12 months growth, due to unavoidable delay in obtaining shearers, or by weather, it shall be termed "12 months" wool.
3. All fleeces entered must have been sheared from sheep owned by the exhibitor.
4. The judge has the power to reclassify fleeces to appropriate class prior to judging.
5. Fleeces shall be rolled, flesh side out, and placed in a clear plastic bag. Paper twine is discouraged. Tag each fleece with the following information: Exhibitor's name, Division, Class, breed & sex of sheep, asking price per pound or NOT FOR SALE, and return shipping information.
6. All shipping to and from the fair is the financial responsibility of the exhibitor. The fair will assist with return shipping when instructions are on the entry. Ship fleeces to : Wool Show, c/o Robin Lynde, 7811 N. Meridian Rd., Vacaville,  CA 95688. Please indicate your plans for shipping or pick-up on your entry form. Exhibitors wishing to sell fleeces must state price per pound on entry form and on the fleece tag. Checks will be made payable to the exhibitor from the buyer. Fleeces will be weighed prior to judging. Fleeces that are not sold and are not claimed by Monday, May 10, or are entered with no instructions will become property of the fair.
7. Judging is presented in lecture format. All interested persons are invited to attend.
